John Madison's father was Andrew David (1823 - 1905) who was the seventh child of William and Jane. Andrew David married Elizabeth Duncan (1834 - 1913). Andrew David married Elizabeth (Betty) Stevens Duncan (January 31, 1838 - Aug, 1913). She was age 14 when they were wed on October 30, 1852. They had nine children : Erastus Newton, John Madison, William Jasper, Idella Jane, George Washington, Mary Ann, Calvin Albert, Kathryn (Kitty), and Andrew Harrison. John Madison McCallister married Martha (Mattie) Jane Wise (October 30, 1860 - June 18, 1939) on February 12, 1881 in Mason County, WV. They had 4 children : Clarence Reed (1882-1953), Henry Alexander (1883 - 1966), Lucy Emma (1887-1947), & Elizabeth Alma (1889-1980).As means to survive John was a farmer and boat builder, and he lived many places in both Putman and Mason countys. Henry, who was never married, took care of his parents until they died. His two sisters helped him care for them. They both died in the town of St.Albans in Kanawha County, WV.John Madison was first buried behind Judson Baptist church, but now he is with his daughter Lucy Emma and her family at Teays Hill Cemetery in St.Albans, WVa. Mattie was born in Putnam County, WV and is buried in the Teays Hill Cemetery along with JohnMadison. DID ANY OF THE KIDS MOVED TO OHIO?
