Lucy was John Madison's 3rd child. John Madison's father was Andrew David (1823 - 1905) who was the seventh child of William and Jane. Andrew David married Elizabeth Duncan (1834 - 1913). They had eight children, the 2nd of whom was John Madison.

John Madison McCallister married Martha (Mattie) Jane Wise (Oct 30, 1855 - June 18, 1939) on February 12, 1881 in Putnam County, WVa. They had 4 children : Clarence Reed (1882-1953), Henry Alexander (1883 - 1966), Lucy Emma (1887-1947), & Elizabeth Alma (1889 - 1980). As means to survive John was a farmer and boat builder, and he lived many places in both Putnam and Mason countys. John Madison was first buried behind Judson Baptist church, but now he is with his daughter Lucy Emma and her family at Teays Hill Cemetery in St.Albans.

Harold married Molah Jane Nelson (April 3, 19__ - ????) in Kentucky on May 1, 1939. He was born in Black Betsy, WV and died St. Albans, WV. She was born in Putnam County WV & grew up in Griffithsville, WV. Their 2 children were Martha Ann (Sept 29, 19__) & John Nelson (October 16, 19__). They lived in St. Albans on Carroll St. He worked at Union Carbide in S. Charleston, WV from age 18 until he took early retirement at age 58. He then worked for the State of WV in the Water Resources Department working with the EPA on environmental clean up. Harold died of lung cancer when was almost age 63 and is buried in Teays Hill Cemetery, with his mother, uncle Henry, and grandparents John Madison & Martha Wise. His widow Molah continued living in their home in St. Albans unil 1998. She was active in the First Baptist Church of St. Albans and the St. Albans' Womans Club. She went to live with her daughter Martha in 1998 in Des Moines, IA. In 2004 when 90 years old, she is a resident of Sunrise Assisted Living in Columbia, Md. Martha lives in Ellicott City, MD. Soon after Juanita Emmagene Dodd graduated from high school she met Blaine Winfred Lilly (March 29, 1923 - Nov 8, 1998) at a skating rink in 1941. Not long after that America became involved in World War II and Blaine joined the Navy. In August 1943 Juanita and her sister Doris took a train to Ames, Iowa, where Blaine was stationed. "Neetie" and Blaine were married there on August 21. During the war years Juanita followed Blaine to Brooklyn and to New Orleans. When his ship was at sea she stayed with her mother and worked, saving her money for their future together. At the end of the war, they set up housekeeping in St. Albans. In 1947 their daughter, Elizabeth Lynne, was born. In 1949 they had a son, Blaine Jr. One of the most memorable events to occur in the Kanawha Valley was when the Union Carbide plant caught fire in the early 1950s. Blaine was working there then. Carbide literally locked its gates to keep it's employees inside to fight the fire! Blaine vowed that if he got out alive he would find a new job. Shortly afterward, he joined his brother Wendell at the General Motors plant in Columbus, Ohio. In 1953 Juanita and the two children rode a Greyhound bus to Columbus to join him there. They bought a small house -- the classic post-war Cape Cod style house -- at 331 Maple Drive. Their third child, a son named William Joseph (always called Joe) was born in 1955. Blaine worked at General Motors for 30 years. After her children were grown Juanita worked for Sears. In 1985 they retired to their dream home in Fairfield Glade, near Crossville, Tenn. Sadly, Juanita was struck by a disease similar to Alzheimer's. She died in Columbus. Blaine had been her devoted caretaker, and he too suffered from her illness: he had many strokes caused by stress and other factors. Today Blaine and Juanita rest in Teay's Hill Cemetery, in the family plot bought by Uncle Henry McCallister in the 1930s. Buried there together are John M. and Martha (Wise) McCallister; their son Henry A. McCallister; their daughter Lucy McCallister Dodd; her son Harold F. Dodd; her daughter Juanita Dodd Lilly and Juanita's husband, Blaine W. Lilly. Juanita and Blaine's daughter Libbie is married to George Griffin. She has one son,Timothy Ross Thompson, and two wonderful grandsons: Chris & Alex Thompson. She is also the step-mother of five great people and a grandmother to seven of their children. Blaine Jr. is a professor of engineering at Ohio State University. He is married to Agnes Risko, who is also a professor at OSU. Joe Lilly married Susan "Sue" Elaine Locke. He is a manager with IBM. Joe and Sue have a great family of three sons: Mark, who is about to begin a graduate degree at Indiana U.; Mike and Mitch, twins who are both college students in Columbus.
