John Madison's father was Andrew David (1823 - 1905) who was the seventh child of William and Jane. Andrew David McCallister married Elizabeth Duncan (1834 - 1913). They had eight children, the 5th of whom was George Washington McCallister.

Andrew David McCallister was the 7th child of William and Jane. Andrew David married Elizabeth (Betty) Stevens Duncan (January 31, 1838 - Aug, 1913). She was age 14 when they were wed.
They had nine children : Erastus Newton, John Madison, William Jasper, Idella Jane, George Washington, Mary Ann, Calvin Albert, Kathryn (Kitty), and Andrew Harrison.

George Washington McCallister married Alice Jane Rose (2/2/1867 - 1/18/1941) on February 24, 1887 in Mason County. They had nine children, namely Caroline "Carrie" Elizabeth (1888 - 1946), William Roy (1890 - 1977), John Edward (1892 - 1936), Kathryn Mable (1895 - 1986), Hattie Genevieve (1898 - deceased), Mary Alice (1900 - 1972), George Francis "Bud" (03/08/1926 - 1984), Rose Eldora (1906 - 1999) & Grace Irene (1909 - deceased).
Working in the cold March wind gave him pneumonia & he died suddenly on March 27, 1922. He was buried in the old Judson Baptist Church Cemetary, located on top of the hill behind the present church building.
Alice lived on at the home place. Some time later her son Roy & his wife, Elizabeth, moved in with her. They all lived together until Alice's death on January 18, 1941. She was buried beside George in the Judson Cemetery.
Dr. Al Deardorff, who was at the McCallister 2000 reunion, is a grandson of George's & a son of George's daughter Rose & her husband William Henry Rosebaugh Deardorff.

"Eddie" led an eventful life. He graduated from West Virginia State College and completed graduate work at several institutions including West Virginia University, Michigan State University and West Virginia College of Graduate Studies. He taught at several area schools.
Eddie took great pride in his city and was involved in most every aspect of it. He was mayor of St. Albans from 1985 to 1997; when passed away employeed by Quick Delivery in South Charleston; member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church in St. Albans; member of Washington Masonic Lodge 58 AF&AM, St. Albans, Scottish Rite Bodies, Beni Kedem Shrine Temple, Kanawha Commandry 004, Tyrian Chapter 13 Royal Arch Masons and Order of the Eastern Star 79, St. Albans; member of the St. Albans Rotary, where named a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International; Loyal Order of the Moose 868; on the board of directors of Jericho House and Voters on Watch, St. Albans, the Regional Inter-Governmental Council, the West Virginia League of Municipalities and the Governor's Summer Disadvantaged Children's program; former member of the St. Albans Chapter of Toastmasters International, South Charleston Museum Advisory Board, West Virginia Investment Committee, National League of Cities and Kanawha County Parks and Recreation Committee; named Distinguished West Virginian by former Governor Arch A. Moore Jr., commissioned a Kentucky Colonel by former Kentucky Governor William Wilkinson and was a member of the West Virginia Democratic Executive Committee.
He was married at one time.He lived with his mother and took care of her till her death. He was living with his sister Helen Margaret when he died. Helen had never been married.
He is buried is Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, WVa.
