The father of Frederick David was Calvin Albert. As a twice widowed farmer having fathered 7 but 3 of whom had passed away by 1905, in 1908 he married Ida Ellen Dailey (1883 - 1970). She had been born in Crown City, Ohio, but at the time of their union, she lived at Cox's Landing, WV. which was located somewhere between Huntington and Ashton on WV Rt. 2, along the Ohio River. They had eight children: Oscar Carlton (1909 - 2000); Print Walter (1911 - 1985); Margaret Marie (19__ - ____); William Worthy (1914 - 1990); Mae Kathryn (1917 - 1994); Woodrow Melvin (1919 - 2000); Pansy Pearl (1921 - 2000); Frederick David (19__ - ____).

His siblings were born in Mason County,WVa. When Fred came into the picture, his father was a renter of farmland. Before moving to Putnam County, Calvin had always owned his land. Although CalvinAlbert & IdaEllen's 8th child, he was CalvinAlbert's 15th child. When he was born, his father was age 60 & his mother 45 years old. (This picture of Fred sure looks like his son David at the same age!)

Fred met his future wife, Gloria Lee Harrison (2/20/19__ - 2???) , in Winfield High School where he played football & she was the cheerleader. They were wedded at Pliny Presbyterian Church on July 6, 1950. Upon graduation in 1948, they both took employment with the Institute Plant of Union Carbide. In 1966 he surrendered to the call to be a pastor of the Gospel Ministry. Soon they were both taking classes at W.V. State College. In 1973, Gloria both graduated with a degree in secondary education & began teaching in the Mason County School System. Fred retired from the pastorate in July 1992 due to health reasons. In 1993, he returned to being a pastor. On July 31, 2002, he retired for the 3rd time. They have always resided in WVa, varying from Winfield to Teays Valley to Southside. They had their 50th anniversary at Judson Baptist Church on July 6, 2000. Fred has his 'hobby farm' & stays busy with family history. Gloria likes her 'Quilting Group' & taking care of all her flowers. Their 3 children are: Regina Kay (12/10/19__), David Lee (3/24/19__) and Jennifer Sue (2/25/19__).

Regina (Reggie) married David (Brodie) Vanzant Wright, II (7/11/1948) at Harmony Baptist Church on 1/7/1972. The Rev. Ron Stoner, a family friend & Baptist minister from Charleston WV, performed the ceremony. They had three children, David Vanzant, III (9/13/19__), Laura Liane (5/1/19__) and Andrew Cody (2/19/19__). David (Crocket) was off at college in Ohio with his fiance when the picture was taken. Laura graduated from Winfield High School & lives in Inwood, WV where she works at Wal-Mart. Andrew has graduated from Winfield High, where he was water-boy for the football team and sang in the choris. The girl in the center of the picture is Crocket's wife, Bethany Dingess (7/19__). She & Crocket were married at the Pt. Pleasant Trinity United Methodist Church as of December 9, 2000. Crocket graduated from the University of Cincinatti in Cincinatti,OH & she from Ohio University in Athens,OH. They both have joined the work force in Cincinnati, Ohio where he is a civil engineer & she a financial analyst. They live in Hamilton,OH, a suburb of Cincinnatti & are expecting their first baby in April 2005. Regina really enjoys her job working with families of childern who have mental health issues. David married Beverly (Bea) Catherine Pennington (6 Apr 19__) of Oak Hill WVa. on August 18, 1978. Dave's father, an ordained minister, performed the ceremony at the Presbeterian Church in Oak Hill, WVa. He graduated from WV Technical University as an electrical engineer. On 2/23/19__, they added Kelly Anne to the family. They lived in Baltimore Maryland. On Dec 27, 1988 David married Margaret Lynn Bramble Forbus (3 Dec 19__) at the Galia County Court House in Gallia County, Ohio. They had 2 daughters, Megan Lee (9/24/19__) & Rebecca Lynn (8/5/19__). Margie also has a son, Alan Forbus (11/?/19??), who is serving his country in the Navy and is stationed in Virginia. He is about the same age as Kelly. As Dave travels much because of his job, the family resides in Marietta, Washington County, Ohio. WHERE DID BOTH MARRIAGES TAKE PLACE?

Here is Fred's youngest daughter, Jennifer (Jenny). In 19?? she married Michael Edward Martin & had 2 children, Michael Roy (1/17/19__) & Jordan "Jordy" Lee (4/10/19__). They both were born in Carrollton, Denton County, Texas. After having met at church, on June 5, 1999 she wed Kurt Randolph Buss (4/24/19__ - 2???). The marriage took place in a barn in Darbydale, Ohio & was performed by her father, who is empowered to authorize marriages in both WVa & OH. Kurt was born and reared in Florida. They live in Grove City, Ohio. They enjoy traveling & reading. She also is an avid knitter. WHAT CITY & COUNTYs IN FLORIDA DID KURT RESIDE IN?
